Definition of unit:

As part of the State's ongoing endeavor to develop the educational system, e-education has become a necessity for the development of university education because it provides the means to solve the problems of the traditional pattern of education such as limited educational resources from halls and laboratories in addition to the problem of loss of communication and interaction between staff members and students, especially in faculties where the number of students increases. In addition, the problems related to the need for continuous development in the curriculum and provide students with the opportunity to obtain the scientific material developed anytime and anywhere. E-learning also allows the creation of an interactive environment between students and staff.

 

Vision:

Disseminating a culture of integrated e-learning in line with quality standards, which in turn leads to an advanced learning environment that contributes to building an information society.

Mission:

Developing the educational process using all modern electronic technologies in learning to provide an advanced e-learning system in order to achieve the highest quality standards.

 

Objectives:

  • Provision of e-learning means for students at university faculties by establishing the infrastructure of telecommunications networks, servers, computer laboratories, and lecture halls equipped with all necessary educational means.
  • Upgrading and enhancing the quality of education by providing additional learning methods based on e-learning techniques and modern communication media.
  • Encouraging self-learning through e-learning applications, disseminating the university's e-learning culture, supporting the production of e-courses, as well as activating and marketing e-courses.
  • Strengthen the interaction between students and staff and increase the chances of students communicating with them, and with the teacher of the course.
  • Converting a percentage of the faculty's study programs into electronic ones.
  • Developing and producing competitive educational courses on meeting the labor market.
  • Giving a sense of equality among all students.
  • Exchanging experiences with relevant organizations and bodies to develop e-learning strategies.
