Training Unit

In the framework of building the capacity of staff, administrators, and students at the University to use modern information and communications technology through the provision of training services, the University Training Unit works to develop the capacity of the University community to benefit from modern information and communications technology.

Mission:

The unit seeks to acquire student from trainees, graduates, and members of civil society with ICT skills that qualify them to compete in the labor market as well as to develop the performance of staff members, their associated and university employees by acquiring skills that enable them to employ IT fields in the service of the educational and research process. In addition, the unit looks forward to preparing cadres of trainers and technical consultants capable of meeting the needs of the University and the surrounding community in the field of information technology, as well as contributing to the implementation of the University's plan towards digital transformation.

Vision

Achieving global academic standards of excellence in training for staff and associated staff as well as university employees and students at local and regional levels so that the unit becomes the first and best choice in providing training services in the field of information and communication technology to contribute effectively to the implementation of the State strategic plan in the field of digital transformation of governmental institutions.

 

 

Objectives:

- Training staff, associated staff, and university employees in ICT skills to maximize the current and future potential of ICT in improving the level of performance in universities' educational, research and management processes.

- Creating a broad base of training cadres by training the concept of training of trainers.

- Implement a clear training strategy that ensures upgrading the skills of staff members and IT staff according to specialization.

- Providing and developing scientific materials for training programs.

- Providing technical support to sub-training centers.

- Prepare for the implementation of specialized training courses for development projects as well as other bodies and institutions of the State through the sub-training centers of universities.

- Increased training based on electronic media and distance training.

Registration Steps
1. Print the payment permission and fill it up.
2. Go to the SU Administration Building, the Information Technology Office on the 4th Floor. let the official employee sign the permission.
3. Pay the course fees at the treasury office before 12 P.M. by visa and get the payment receipt.
4. Electronic registration is conducted through the form mentioned above and upload the payment receipt.
Pay attention that the registration is only available via the university email.
5. You will receive an email automatically after you sign up.
6. on determining your group, you will be informed through the email you registered with.
7. Online training via the Microsoft teams app.
* Please ensure that the payment receipt is uploaded, and your data is correctly written because the form accepts registration with the same email only once.
* Please activate the university E mail and review the incoming mail periodically as the unit's team will send training instructions and tests when they were scheduled.

The SU Information Technology Training Unit announces the commencement of registration to book the optional programs of digital transformation basics certificate for the university staff.
The University Council's Decision No. 111 of 28 June 2022, stipulates that a faculty staff member who is applying for promotion to be an Associate Professor or Professor must get a minimum of one or maximum of two courses of the elective training courses of the Digital Transformation Certificate.

  1. Additional certificates for the Digital Transformation Certificate are issued by the Central Training Unit at the headquarters of the Secretariat of the Supreme Council of Universities (4th Floor - Digital Transformation Training Laboratory). Such demands are received from Sunday to Wednesday of every week from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm.
  2. Additional certificates are received on the same day at 1:00 pm.
  3. The cost of issuing a single copy is only 50 L.E.
  4. The applicant must be the same person or his representative from the first degree of kinship or have an officially accredited proxy or a mandate.
  5. It is strictly forbidden to wait in front of the training laboratory at the headquarters of the secretariat of the Higher Council of Universities.
  6. These procedures shall take effect from 7-8-2022.
