Vision:

Establishment of a distinguished minerals and materials research center in Suez and Sinai.

Mission:

      • Build distinctive labs by providing a range of modern technologies needed to process and characterize minerals and materials.
      • Scientific analysis and resolution of problems related to technical and environmental impacts.
      • Transfer of technology to domestic industries for the competitiveness of products in international markets.
      • Cooperation with corresponding domestic and international research centers in metallurgical and material engineering.
      • Provide integrated technical and advisory services to relevant companies in the surrounding industrial environment.
      • Increased research cooperation at the national, regional, and international levels.
      • Take advantage of the expertise of Egyptian scientists living abroad and connect them to the homeland.
      • Contributing to the promotion of the rank of the university in local and international classification through international publications, workshops, publications, scientific publications, scientific twinning, environmental problem resolution, development, and community service.

The Center aims to:

    1. Build distinctive labs by providing a range of modern technologies needed to process and characterize minerals and materials.
    2. Providing a suitable environment for scientific research, education, and training for youth researchers and engineers that supports the needs of Egyptian research centers, universities, and industry.
    3. Scientific analysis and resolution of problems related to technical and environmental impacts.
    4. Transfer of technology to domestic industries for the competitiveness of products in international markets.
    5. Cooperation with local and international counterpart research centers in metallurgical and materials engineering through specific research programs.
    6. Provide integrated technical and advisory services to relevant companies in the surrounding industrial areas.
    7. Increased national and international research cooperation.
    8. Take advantage of the expertise of Egyptian scientists living abroad and connect them to the homeland.
    9. Contributing to the promotion of the rank of the university in the local and international classification through patents - international publishing - workshops - scientific publications and publications - scientific twinning - solving environmental problems - development and community service).
    10. Endeavour to establish the proposed factory as the first university to be joined by an industrial institution to train students, open areas of work and investment, solve environmental problems, and optimize the use of ores and resources in the Suez and Sinai regions.

Supporting national industry through:

  1. Preparation of highly qualified engineers.
  2. Transfer and localization of modern technology through training and education.
  3. Maximize the economic value of Egyptian products.
  4. Minimize environmental problems associated with minerals and materials engineering industries.
  5. Utilization and reduction of industrial byproducts and waste.
