STDFThe project's objective is:
- The development of new nanometric complexes for their actual application in detecting and removing certain toxic metals from aquatic circles such as arsenic, lead, cadmium, and mercury.
- These complexes are fixed and easy to use and will have detection capabilities sensitive to the concentration of low metal ions.
- Some experiments will be conducted to determine the effects of pH, concentration, and competing ions on selectivity and the ability of these nanometric complexes to remove these toxic metals.
- The unique composition of these complexes will allow for visual detection, removal, and extraction of very small concentrations of toxic metals without prior concentration work.
These groups will maintain their functional range despite many chemical treatments during removal/extraction and regeneration cycles.
