Wed. 30 Sep, 2026

As part of Suez University’s commitment to enhancing healthcare and preventive services for its members, and under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Ashraf Heneigal, President of the University, and under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Osama Kaddour, Acting Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development, the first specialized medical screening campaigns for the early detection of diabetes have been launched across the university’s various faculties and sectors. The campaigns are being implemented as part of the Community Service and Environmental Development Sector’s plan to provide healthcare and raise awareness of the importance of early screening for chronic diseases.

The campaign is being carried out in implementation of the directives of the University President to the Community Service and Environmental Development Sector, in coordination with the Faculty of Medicine under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Doaa El-Sayed, Dean of the Faculty, and with the participation of the Technical Institute of Nursing under the supervision of Dr. Mai Ibrahim, Supervisor of the Institute.

The campaigns aim to conduct medical examinations for the early detection of diabetes among faculty members, assistant teaching staff, administrative employees, and workers across the university’s various faculties and sectors. This initiative contributes to identifying cases at an early stage and reducing the health complications associated with the disease.

The campaign organizers emphasized that the procedures are not limited to screening alone but also include follow-up for cases requiring further medical care. Cases requiring additional examinations and laboratory tests are referred to the University Hospital to receive the necessary medical services and appropriate treatment, in accordance with the directives of the University President.

The campaign began on Sunday, September 27, and will continue through Thursday, October 1, 2026, covering the various faculties and sectors of the university. This initiative reflects Suez University’s commitment to the health and well-being of its members and its community role in supporting healthcare and preventive initiatives.
