Suez University
In its first participation, Suez University wins two awards in the Innovation Incentive Competition

SU was able to win two prizes in its participation in the Innovation Catalyst 2022 launched by Innovators and Geniuses Care Fund of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Khaled Abdulghaffar, the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, which aims to support student innovative projects and ideas and help them in their implementation to reach the local and international market. 

As well, the Enginology team participated in the competition with the Civil Protection Robot project. It is a robot that replaces civil protection in hazardous work, firefighting, transportation of equipment, removal of obstacles to facilitate the entry of civil protection, and detection of toxic gases and other hazardous work. Moreover, the Hurricane team participated in the vortex bladeless turbine project and aims to generate clean electric power by converting wind energy into vibration by exploiting a phenomenon known as vortex shedding that causes turbine body vibration. This vibratory movement is used to generate electricity. So that, the two teams are from the Faculty of Engineering. 

On this occasion, Prof. Dr. Al-Sayed Al-Sharkawi, SU president and the president of the Board of Directors of the University's Center for the Care and Support of Innovation, sent a congratulatory telegram to the members of the two groups via the page of the University's Information Centre, who were able to raise the name of Suez University in this important forum. Hence, he stressed on strengthening of mechanisms for the care of talented and geniuses’ students in order to build a generation of young cadres capable of contributing innovatively to the completion of the sustainable development of the State in order to realize Egypt's vision 2030, wishing his children continuous success and progress. 

For their part, the members of the two groups expressed appreciation for their continued support from the University administration and continuing supervision from Prof. Dr. Ashraf Hanjil, the dean of the Faculty of Engineering, as well as technical support for Dr. Mohamed Aziz, the undersecretary of the Faculty of Engineering for Education and Students Affairs and for Dr. Issam Ahmed, the director of the Center for Care and Support of Innovators at the University.
