Conduct a training workshop on the comprehensive design of education (UDL)... Disabled Students

Under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Ali Hussein Atta, SU Acting President, coordinated by Prof. Dr. Ihab Al-Sayed Shehata, Dean of the Faculty of Education and Director of the SU Centre for Disabled Students, and Prof. Dr. Samah El-Sakka, undersecretary of the Faculty of Education and the Deputy Director of the Center, a training workshop on the comprehensive design of education (UDL) was organized; This complements the training plan and workshops contained in the Protocol of Cooperation between Suez University and the EMDIST Authority, in the presence of Dr. Nahla Hafni, Coordinator of the Amidst for Suez University, Dr. Noha Mahmoud Mourad, Education Technology Teacher at the Faculty of Graduate Studies for Education, Cairo University, the workshop was attended by a several faculty staff representatives of various faculties of the University. 

The SU Acting President stated that this training workshop is part of the EMDIST plan to prepare for the opening of the headquarters of the service center for disabled students. The aim of the workshop is to explain the guiding rules and key principles of the comprehensive design of learning that require faculty members to think proactively about the needs of all students to achieve the principle of inclusiveness in higher education. In addition to practical training on the application of the most important practices for comprehensive design of learning. 

For his part, the Dean of the Faculty of Education commended the Centre's continued support by the SU President since the beginning of the project, and throughout its stages, stressed the importance of these training events, which target the SU staff members to qualify them adequately to deal with disabled students at the University. He paid tribute to the gentlemen of all faculty staff and associated staff who were keen on participating in this event, which has had a great impact on everyone. 

The Deputy Director of the Center confirmed that the regulations for the Center are about to be finalized in preparation for the completion of all requirements for the opening of the Center for the Service of Disabled Students at Suez University, paying tribute to the EMDIST team for their concrete efforts in completing all stages of the project.
