Hazem Al-Sabbagh, a student of the SU Faculty of Arts (disabled people), was able to achieve the silver medal at the 2023 Africa Karate Championships in the Kingdom of Morocco.

Moreover, Prof. Dr. Ali Hussain Atta, the SU President, sent a congratulatory telegram to the student. The President expressed his pleasure at this great achievement, which delighted all the University's staff, and thanked his family, which provides him with much care, support, and attention, wishing him continued success and progress.

Furthermore, Prof. Dr. Mohammed Mazen Jalal, the Dean of the Faculty of Arts congratulated the Student Hazim stressing the happiness of the faculty community with this outstanding achievement.

Hazem Al-Sabbagh is one of the university's students of disabled people who studies in the Department of History at the Faculty of Arts. He has previously won many victories at various tournaments both locally and internationally.
