This morning, the Conference on Excellence in Scientific Research "The Future of Knowledge Production in Egypt" was launched under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Mohamed Ayman Ashour, the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, held in the New Administrative Capital in cooperation with the Fulbright Authority.

Prof. Dr. Ali Hussain Atta, the SU President, and a delegation of Prof. Dr. Shareif Fahmi, the Dean of the Faculty of Science, Prof. Dr. Ashraf Mohamed Henjel, the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, and a number of staff at the university, participated in the conference.

As well, the President of the University stated that the desire to participate in the events of the conference stems from the University's endeavor to keep pace with the rapid progress in scientific research, which undoubtedly contributes to raising the classification of the University at the local and international levels and thus reflects positively on the progress of the Egyptian State.

Atta also pointed out that the Egyptian State's unprecedented interest in scientific research clearly indicates that it is on the right path to progress and growth as one of the most important elements of the renaissance of societies.
