On the last day of the state of Prof. Dr. Al-Sayed Al-Sharqawi as President of Suez University, the members of the Council of the University, members of the staff and employees of the University, and a group of students of a community for Egypt have made a corridor of honor in recognition of his efforts during the past six years as President of the University.
Moreover, Al-Sharkawi expressed his pleasure at this generous gesture, which expressed the friendliness and love that connects all members of the university of leaders, staff, employees, and students. He stressed the need to continue to work with the utmost sincerity and dedication in order to continue the progress of the University and to reach the highest standards of quality in order to provide academic and research services suitable for the students of Egypt who are members in the University.
Sharkawi also congratulated Prof. Dr. Ali Hussein Atta, the SU Vice President of the University for Education and Students Affairs, for assuming the duties of officer in charge of the university, wishing him success and progress, in cooperation with all members of the University Council, staff, and employees.
It is worth mentioning that the "Sharkawi" was honored last Saturday by Prof. Dr. Mohamed Ayman Ashour, the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, on the sidelines of the meeting of the Higher Council of Universities of Matrouh University. The Council thanked the presidents of the expired universities for the term presidency of their universities at the end of July, for their fruitful efforts in developing the higher education system. The Council commended Sharqawi's development in all courses of university work and had the best impact in upgrading Suez University.
On the margins of the meeting of the Council of the University, the members of the Council honored Prof. Dr. Abdel Atti Lashin, the SU Vice President for Postgraduate and Research Affairs and expired his tenure as Vice President of the University, where Lashin expressed his pleasure at this honor and wished everyone success in raising the name of the University of Suez.
Prof. Dr. Al-Sayed Al-Sharkawi assumed the position of President of Suez University in 2017. The University's sovereignty has seen remarkable progress and growth in all sectors. It has now become 16 faculties and institutes equipped at the highest levels in terms of infrastructure, such as buildings, halls, terraces, and factories of various kinds, as well as in terms of providing human potential and the latest academic regulations that qualify university employees with the latest requirements of the labor market locally, regionally, and internationally.
Over the past few years, Suez University, under the leadership of His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi of the Republic, has been able to move on the ground in numbers very large and unprecedented.

The SU President added that the first branch of a government university in South Sinai, the Suez University branch in Abou Redis at a cost of 1.3 billion pounds for the first phase, is being established and the university branch is located on 100 acres for the two phases, and the first phase includes faculties (Education, Arts, Science, Commerce), while the second phase includes faculties (Medicine, Dentistry, Physical therapy, Pharmacy, Nursing, Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, Technology, Fish Resources, Languages and Translation, Desert Agriculture and Food, Design and Arts, Veterinary Medicine, Computing and Artificial Intelligence) as well as the establishment of a university hospital to serve the Sinai Peninsula, as well as other buildings (University administrative building, central library, conference hall, student's university dormitory, staff housing buildings, Olympic sports complex, cafeteria, and restaurant).
