Prof. Dr. Ashraf Heniegal, President of Suez University, received Ms. Maggie Nassif, Executive Director of the Fulbright Commission in Egypt, in the presence of Prof. Dr. Ezzeldin Husseini Gad, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs; Mr. Asser Hany, Assistant Program Director; and Mr. Ahmed Kaseb, Representative of the Ministry of Higher Education.
During the meeting, the University President emphasized that this cooperation aligns with the directives of His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic, highlighting the importance of openness and international collaboration in building the professional capacities of faculty members, researchers, students, and administrative staff. He also noted the continued support of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research under the leadership of Prof. Dr. Abdelaziz Konsowa.
He added that candidates selected to benefit from these scholarships should be distinguished national talents capable of delivering meaningful contributions to the country, expressing his appreciation to the Fulbright Commission for the support and opportunities it provides to the university. Discussions also addressed areas of cooperation between the university and the Fulbright Commission in academic exchange and scientific research, offering valuable opportunities for students, faculty members, and administrative staff to benefit from the Commission’s programs.
Ms. Maggie Nassif also held an expanded meeting with deans, faculty members, and students from faculties engaged in the Commission’s activities. She reviewed the available programs across various disciplines and academic levels, affirming that scholarships also include opportunities for both administrative staff and students.
She further explained that the Fulbright Commission offers a wide range of programs covering diverse fields and academic degrees, with access available to students, faculty members, as well as administrative personnel.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the University President stressed that this partnership represents a significant addition to the university’s academic and research journey, opening new horizons for students and researchers to achieve excellence and leadership.
