Pre-university students in South Sinai on a visit to Suez University

This morning, Suez University received a delegation of pre-university education students from South Sinai on a visit organized by the 3rd Army Field Commands, in coordination with Prof. Dr. Al-Sharqawi, SU President. The visit was received at the University Theatre in the presence of Prof. Dr. Al-Sharqawi, Prof. Dr. Ali Hussein Atta, SU Vice-President for Education and Student Affairs, Prof. Dr. Said Hamid Abadi, SU Vice-President for Community Service and Environment Development, and a delegation from the “students for Egypt” Community.

In his speech, Abadi welcomed the youth of Sinai, reviewing the efforts and achievements of the Egyptian State on the ground to build the future of this generation. Suez University was a branch of Suez Canal University and then resigned from it with 6 faculties. In the past few years, it has doubled to 16 faculties and institutes at the highest level, through both infrastructure and physical and human resources, to provide outstanding educational services to the children of the university region.

Abadi also referred to the ongoing projects undertaken by the Egyptian State to expand the University's services to the beloved children of Sinai. The SU branch in South Sinai was established in Aburdis, which will begin with the opening of faculties of Science, Literature, and Education, as well as planning to establish an integrated university community in Aburdis to serve as the nucleus of an independent government university in South Sinai.

Then, Dr. Ahmed Al-Dasouki, the leader of the SU “Student for Egypt” Community, lectured on the Egyptian state's efforts in the development of Egypt in various sectors, explaining that the university plays an important role in the discovery of talents and skills, and its role is not limited to the academic side.

The students then toured various university facilities and faculties starting with the Central Laboratories Complex of the Faculty of Science, and the Water Laboratory of the Faculty of Fisheries where the delegation was received by Prof. Dr. Azab Tahoun, Professor of Aquaculture of the faculty.

This was followed by a visit to the Faculty of Engineering where the delegation was received by Prof. Dr. Ashraf Henijal, the Dean of the Faculty and he took them on a tour of various laboratories and workshops in the faculty and explained the possibilities and objectives of these laboratories.

Students then moved to the medical complex where they wandered the hallways of the Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry and the new university hospital. All students were impressed by the huge potential they witnessed prepared by the Egyptian State to ensure the future of Egyptians with a distinct degree of university education based on keeping up with the requirements of the labor market, providing opportunities for everyone to discover talents and skills.
