Accompanied by Suez Governor; The SU President performs Eid prayer at Badr Mosque in Port Tawfik

This morning, Accompanied by Major General Abdelmadjid Saqr, Suez Governor, Prof. Dr. Al-Sharqawi, SU President, performed Eid al-Adha prayer at Badr Mosque in Port Tawfik in the presence of General Abdelrahman Hridi, Suez Security Director, Prof. Dr. Ali Hussein Atta, the SU Vice-President for Education and Student Affairs, Dr. Abdullah Ramadan, Deputy Governor, and several leaders of people and executive figures in the governorate.

The Eid sermon was delivered by Sheikh Majid Radi, Under-Secretary of the Ministry of the Waqfs of Suez. The sermon dealt with the most important virtues of Eid, explaining that Eid al-Adha is a great and remarkable day of the days of Allah Almighty. Through these days the pilgrims are happy to perform Hajj rites. Thanks to Allah Muslims are also blessed in the first ten days of Dhul Hijjah, the sacrifice ritual, as well as family and friends’ gatherings.

Following the Eid prayers, worshippers exchanged congratulations on Eid. Prof. Dr. Al-Sharqawi, SU President, said that the Eids are undoubtedly a great opportunity to strengthen social ties between relatives and wombs, all people, spread affection, compassion, and fraternity as well as strengthen connections and relieve those in distress.

The SU President also noted that it is fortunate that the celebrations of Eid al-Adha would coincide with the celebration of the tenth anniversary of the 30th Revolution of June, the revolution by the great Egyptian people to recover their homeland and identity, which the evil people wanted to rape. He, therefore, extended congratulations to our dear Egypt the generous Egyptians on their feasts. May Allah keep Egypt in peace.
