Prof. Dr. Ashraf Hnijal, the SU President, announced the opening of applications for the Scientific Publishing Awards in Science and Literature for the period from January 1 to December 31, 2025.

The SU President clarified the rules necessary to apply for awards as follows:

1. The applicant must be a teaching staff member or assistant staff member at Suez University and on the job.
2. The applicant must not have been subjected to any disciplinary penalties or any judicial sentence issued against him for crimes that affect academic integrity and honor (a case statement with penalties approved by the faculty shall be submitted to the applicant member)
3.  The paper submitted for the award must have been conducted in one of the university's faculties and registered therein, and the research must be marked Suez University. Research not marked Suez University in the period from 1/1 to 31/12/2025 is excluded.
4. Papers published in international journals must be included in global databases (Scopus-Web of Science) according to the SJR-Q1-Q2-Q3 classification of scientific faculties. SJR-Q1-Q2-Q3-Q4 classification for literary faculties.

The full publishing award is given to papers published in specialized journals, and 50% of the value is given to research published in multidisciplinary journals.

Scientific faculties are excluded from condition (4) if the paper published in Q4 has a partnership with an industrial entity, company, or other major institutions, and the partnership is explained in (Affiliation) for the research.

5. The full publication award is granted to papers published in specialized and multidisciplinary journals for both scientific and literary faculties if the paper is conducted in partnership with an industrial body, company, or other civil society institution, and the partnership is specified in the Affiliation section of the research. 6. Internally or externally seconded teaching staff who have published Q1, Q2, Q3, and Q4 papers under the name of the university will be honored with certificates of appreciation.

The SU President invited teaching staff members and researchers at the university to participate in the event by submitting their files to Prof. Dr. Yasser Amoun, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Science and the executive director of the Scientific Publication Unit, from February 5, 2025, to March 5, 2025.
