The Cairo International Book Fair witnessed a visit by a student delegation from Suez University, attended by Prof. Dr. Ashraf Hanigel, President of the University. The delegation toured various pavilions of the fair to explore the latest publications and cultural and intellectual activities offered by this major annual event. The delegation included students from the "Students for Egypt" family, led by Dr. Ahmed El-Dessouky, the family’s advisor.
The students moved between the pavilions of publishing houses and cultural institutions, reviewing the wide range of books and publications in literature, science, and arts, in addition to the accompanying events aimed at enriching Egypt’s cultural and intellectual movement.
A highlight of the tour was the visit to the Administrative Control Authority’s pavilion, where the university delegation was welcomed by Major General Alaa El-Awiny and Major General Ahmed Komsan. The university president and students expressed their admiration for the pavilion’s awareness content and educational publications, which shed light on the Authority’s efforts in combating corruption and promoting values of integrity and transparency. The university president extended his greetings to Major General Mohamed Talaat and Lieutenant Colonel Mohamed Emad El-Din from the Suez branch of the Administrative Control Authority for their efforts in coordinating the visit and overseeing all procedures between the university and the fair management.
Prof. Dr. President of the University emphasized that the Cairo International Book Fair represents a highly significant cultural event, noting that participation in such activities reflects the university’s commitment to engaging with sources of knowledge and enhancing students’ cultural awareness. He added that what he witnessed at the Administrative Control Authority’s pavilion highlights an important role in spreading the culture of integrity and transparency, which aligns with the university’s mission of building an aware and educated generation.
