Suez University hosts the meeting of the Basic Science Sector Committee of the Supreme Council of Universities

Under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Al-Sayed Al-Sharkawi, the SU President, held a meeting of the Basic Science Sector Committee of the Supreme Council of Universities at Suez University this morning. The meeting was attended by Prof. Dr. Essam Khamis, the Former Deputy Minister of Higher Education and the director of the Basic Science Sector Committee of the Supreme Council of Universities, Prof. Dr. Ali Hussain Atta, the SU Vice-President for Education and Student Affairs, Prof. Dr. Sharif Fahmi, the Dean of the SU Faculty of Science, the Deans of the Faculties of Science, Professors, and experts of basic sciences of Egyptian universities, and Staff members of the Faculty of Suez Sciences.

At the beginning of the meeting, the President of Suez University delivered a speech welcoming the attendance. He expressed his pleasure at convening the committee meeting at the university, praising the role played by the faculties of the science of Egyptian universities to monitor the rapid development of basic science and to provide all academic contributions to various other disciplines, which undoubtedly contributes to the progress and growth of scientific research placed by the Egyptian State among the most important pillars of the sustainable development strategy Egypt's 2030 vision.

Furthermore, Prof. Dr. Essam Khamis, the Director of the Committee, expressed pleasure at his presence in the hospitality of Suez University, with the participation of the deans of the faculties of science and experts in the disciplines of basic sciences of Egyptian universities. He hoped that the meeting would come up with meaningful recommendations to serve the educational system in order to modernize the academic path of students after graduation.

In the same vein, Prof. Dr. Sharif Fahmi, the Dean of the Faculty of Science at Suez University, said that this is not the first time that Suez University hosted the Basic Sciences Sector Committee. Fahmy explained that the meeting agenda will discuss a number of topics related to the adoption and correction of some basic science regulations in some Egyptian universities, as well as the discussion of the classification of Suez University, and providing various ways and procedures for the dissemination of this classification.

It is worth mentioning that the Basic Sciences Sector Committee of the Supreme Council of Universities contains a member of the deans of science faculties, institutes, and experts in the basic sciences disciplines of Egyptian universities and faculties of environmental studies at the level of the universities of the Republic.

The Commission is responsible for establishing rules and establishing public policies for the basic science sector and identifying the subjects to be studied in all areas covered by the sector's studies in basic sciences such as physics, chemistry, mathematics, biology, and geosciences.
