This morning, SU president Prof. Dr. Al-Sayed Al-Sharkawi inaugurated the program events of Discovering Innovators and Entrepreneurs in Egypt at the seminar hall at the Faculty of Petroleum and Mining Engineering under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Khaled Abdulghaffar, the minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research. It was attended by Dr. Mohamed Amer, the executive director of the fund, Dr. Majed Ghanima, adviser to the executive director of the fund and several of faculty deans, staff and students. 

In his speech, SU president clarified that Suez University is keen on supporting and spreading the entrepreneurship culture through motivating and supporting the innovators and entrepreneurs of the university and pre-university students from Suez and its surrounding governates. 

Moreover, he stressed that according to Egypt vision 2030 in the field of entrepreneurship and supporting the innovators and geniuses, SU keens to support and spread the entrepreneurship culture and present all means of support, qualify and train youth, provide possibilities for them to unlock their energies, and develop their abilities in creativity. This came from opening the program of Discovering Innovators and Entrepreneurs in Egypt done by Fund for the Welfare of Innovators and Geniuses. 

SU president also added that this program is done by the instructions of the Egyptian president, Al-Sisi and the decision of the Supreme council of universities to establish a unit in each university that would care about talented and innovative students and researchers. Thus, SU president clarified that the country plans in scientific research has been changed from targeting the research publication internationally into another plan that targeting knowledge economy and transformation from publishing into innovation. 

Then, Al-Sharkawi explained that the mental investment is the major distention in Egypt nowadays through supporting innovative youth who have innovative ideas in form of research that he can carried out on the ground. 

Furthermore, he pointed out that this target helps in increasing the income of the youth and creating job opportunity for them and their friends through forming their own companies on their inventions wishing them success and getting the fruitful reward of this cooperation and integration. 

In his speech, Dr. Mohamed Amer introduced the fund, its subjects, the initiates, and funding opportunities that the fund present for students and researchers in the field of innovation and entrepreneurship. He said that Prof. Dr. Khaled Abdulghaffar, the minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, is keen in the fund activities and follows up its objectives achievements of supporting and qualifying the students for innovative projects and spreading the culture of entrepreneurship all over Egypt. 

Dr. Majed Ghanima, the adviser to the Executive Director of Innovation Care Fund, clarified that the university is the platform of science, experience and innovation pointing that we seek the university to be a launching point at Suez for activating the experience of professors, activating the youth energy, and the existing innovations. He stressed that the trend now seeks to transform innovative research into market projects through which we can transfer technology from university to market. 

Prof. Dr. Essam Ahmed, the director of Innovation Center, pointed that the program aims at spreading the culture of entrepreneurship, converting the innovative and research ideas into marketable products. Thus, supporting the role of extra ordinary education and the applied scientific research targeting solving the social problems. Moreover, he said that the program aims to link the Creative Support Fund to students and researchers for solving the problems That's holding them back to bring their creativity to light thus, it becomes a product with features and characteristics that can compete in the market. He summed up his speech saying that the university has a group of talented students and researchers who have the Outstanding creative ability. 

At the end of the day, some of team works exchanged the applicable innovation ideas or which is still in the process of being implemented in various fields of Artificial Intelligence and Internet of Things.
