The university delegation was received by Anba Bomoa, Bishop of Suez, along with the priests. The meeting was marked by an atmosphere of affection and goodwill that reflected the spirit of national unity uniting the sons and daughters of the Egyptian people.
In a statement following the visit, the University President affirmed that the university’s participation in this occasion embodies the values of fraternity and love that characterize Egyptian society, underscoring the university’s constant commitment to supporting the nation’s social fabric. He expressed his pleasure at sharing with fellow citizens all their occasions, emphasizing that national unity is the cornerstone for building a strong homeland characterized by stability and mutual affection.
He added that the visit reflects the university’s commitment to community engagement and to strengthening the values of citizenship among students and faculty members, stressing that Egypt will always remain a model of coexistence among all its people.
During the meeting, the University President highlighted the pioneering and community-oriented role played by Suez University in serving the governorate and the Canal Region, noting that the university places community participation at the top of its priorities across all fields. He explained that this role is realized in practice through the distinguished services provided by the outpatient clinics and comprehensive medical convoys, in addition to the outstanding educational role of the private (non-profit) university.
In a related context, the President revealed Suez University’s intention to launch an “integrated university-owned company” aimed at investing in the expertise of its scientists and researchers across various disciplines to provide specialized solutions and services that serve the community of Suez and the Canal Region, thereby strengthening the linkage between scientific research, the labor market, and developmental needs.
Regarding international rankings, he reviewed the significant progress achieved by Suez University recently, affirming that this advancement is the result of sustained effort and strategic planning. He also pointed to the rapid progress in establishing the university’s new branch in Abu Rudeis city, South Sinai Governorate, to serve as a new educational beacon for the people of Sinai and to support the state’s efforts toward comprehensive development.
The University President concluded by praising the substantial support provided by the Egyptian state to the research and innovation system, commending the diligent efforts of His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi in enhancing Egypt’s international standing. He also extended his thanks to Prof. Dr. Mohamed Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, for his prominent role in implementing the National Strategy for Higher Education.
