Prof. Dr. Ashraf Heniegal, President of Suez University, took part in extending Christmas greetings to Coptic brothers and sisters on the occasion of the Christmas feast of the Western Catholic community. This took place during the celebration held at the Church of the Virgin Mary (Latin) of the Franciscan Fathers in Suez Governorate.
The celebration was attended by His Excellency Major General Dr. Tarek Hamed El-Shazly, Governor of Suez; Major General Ahmed Mahdy Sarhan, Commander of the Third Field Army; Major General Hossam El-Din El-Dah, Assistant Minister of Interior and Director of Suez Security; in addition to popular and executive leaders of the governorate. The well-wishers were received by Father Joseph, the parish priest of the church, in a scene reflecting the spirit of national unity and solidarity among the sons of the one nation.
In a special statement, the President of Suez University affirmed that the university’s participation in this occasion embodies the values of citizenship and peaceful coexistence. He stressed that religious feasts represent an opportunity to strengthen the bonds of love and fraternity among all Egyptians—Muslims and Christians alike—under the banner of one nation. He added that the university is keen to always be an active partner in supporting the values of tolerance and mutual respect, thereby reinforcing the principles of national unity in the hearts of future generations.
