As part of ongoing efforts to enhance the system of scientific research and laboratory services across Egyptian universities, Prof. Ashraf Hanayjel, President of Suez University, announced that the university has achieved a significant milestone by securing first place among Egyptian public universities in registering its laboratories, centers, and scientific instruments on the National Bank for Laboratories and Scientific Instruments platform affiliated with the Supreme Council of Universities.
The University President affirmed that this achievement reflects the scale of dedicated work and institutional support within the university, as well as its continuous commitment to developing laboratories and research services in ways that benefit students, researchers, and the broader community. He noted that this step aligns with the university’s strategy to strengthen its role in supporting scientific research and providing an integrated academic environment.
He also highlighted the important role played by the University Performance and Scientific Laboratories & Equipment Monitoring Unit, led by Assoc. Prof. Ahmed Mohamed El-Desouki, expressing appreciation for the efforts of all members of the unit who contributed to this distinguished success.
He explained that the National Bank for Laboratories and Scientific Instruments serves as a central platform designed to provide comprehensive data, information, and services related to scientific laboratories and equipment across Egyptian universities. The platform facilitates access for students, scholars, and researchers to available research capabilities and enhances cooperation among academic and research institutions.
The University President concluded his statement by stressing that Suez University will continue working to develop its laboratories and research services in line with global advancements in scientific research and in support of Egypt’s sustainable development goals.
