On his office, Prof. Dr. Al-Sayed Al-Sharkawi, the SU President, met this morning Mr. Aladdin Shawqi Mohamed, the Managing Member of Misr Iran Textile Company, Dr. Ahmed Abul Hassan, the Director of the University's Professional Development Centre, and teamwork of the center. As well, Al-Sharkawi witnessed the signing of a cooperation protocol between the Center and Misr Iran Textile Company. It was attended by Mr. Mohamed Zakaria, the Managing Director of Misr Iran Textile Company, M. Dina El Gohary, the Deputy Executive Director of the university centers project, M. Marina Barsoum, the SU Project Manager, and Dr. Joseph Samir, partnership specialist with the center's business owners.

Moreover, the SU President stated that the signing of this protocol comes in the light of the Ministry of Higher Education's endeavor to bridge the gap between the academic study and the needs of the labor market by developing the capabilities and skills of Egyptian university students. Therefore, the Center for Professional Development of Suez University is keen to cooperate and coordinate with companies and institutions that can contribute positively to the delivery of practical experiences to university students in preparation for their optimal qualification for the labor market.

On his part, the Director of the center explained that this protocol requires the parties to coordinate the training of students and graduates of Suez University in various academic disciplines. In addition to providing training and employment opportunities for the graduates of Suez University, the Center nominates distinguished students to join these opportunities, as well as allowing the Center's leaders to undertake field visits under the supervision of the Company to learn about the nature and requirements of work and professional life. The Center will also organize induction seminars within the university or through an online platform aimed at students to encourage them and focus on success stories.
