Under the patronage of Major General Dr. Tarek Hamed El-Shazly, Governor of Suez, and Professor Dr. Ashraf Heniegal, President of Suez University, the “Students for Egypt” family at Suez University organized a major educational seminar for university students and family members. The event featured the esteemed actor Tarek El-Desouky and Professor Dr. Ghada Amer, Artificial Intelligence expert at the Cabinet’s Information and Decision Support Center and Professor of Engineering and Intelligent Systems at the Faculty of Engineering, Benha University. In the presence of the Vice Presidents of the University, the Deans of the Faculties, the Members of the Academic Staff, and the University Employees.

The seminar commenced with the national anthem, followed by a documentary showcasing the family’s activities, which was well received by all attendees. Student Kareem Waleed then delivered a speech expressing his and his fellow students’ pride in joining the “Students for Egypt” family, highlighting its diverse activities aimed at developing students’ skills. He extended his gratitude to President Heniegal for his unwavering support.

Dr. Ahmed El-Desouky, the family’s advisor at Suez University, emphasized in his speech that since its inception, the family has aimed to promote positive thinking, foster initiative, and develop skills through a variety of activities including seminars, workshops, field initiatives, and sports events—reflecting a belief that Egypt’s youth are the leaders of today and architects of tomorrow.

He also underscored the importance of art as a soft power in shaping awareness in the digital and technological era, calling for responsible creativity that serves humanity and elevates intellectual thought.

In conclusion, he extended his appreciation to President Heniegal, the Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, and all university leaders for their continuous support. He also thanked the seminar’s guests for their valuable contributions, affirming that their presence inspires continued dedication. He concluded with the phrase: “Long live Egypt through the minds and awareness of its youth.”

President Heniegal then delivered a speech welcoming all attendees to this distinguished seminar titled “Art and Awareness-Building in the Digital Age,” describing it as a convergence of creativity and knowledge that opens new horizons for dialogue between art and technology.

He commended the students of the “Students for Egypt” family at Suez University and Suez National University, who continue to demonstrate that Egyptian youth are capable of initiative, hope-building, and active participation in nation-building with enlightened minds and genuine patriotism.

President Heniegal noted that the conscious student engagement and the organization of such high-quality seminars are a true reflection of the Egyptian state’s vision for human development—a vision that places awareness at its core and believes that investing in minds is the most effective path to shaping the future.

He affirmed that under the leadership of His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, the Egyptian state spares no effort in empowering youth and providing a university environment that fosters creativity, critical thinking, and positive engagement with national issues.

He further explained that this vision is clearly embodied in the policies of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, led by His Excellency Professor Dr. Mohamed Ayman Ashour, which aim to transform universities into comprehensive spaces for character building, fostering belonging, and linking academic knowledge with societal realities—thus preparing a generation capable of leading change and shaping the future.

President Heniegal praised the commitment of His Excellency Major General Dr. Tarek Hamed El-Shazly to participating in this seminar, reflecting the executive leadership’s dedication to supporting political, cultural, and artistic awareness. He emphasized that the governor’s presence underscores the value of institutional synergy in building the Egyptian citizen.

Addressing the students, President Heniegal stressed that building awareness in the current era requires the integration of various knowledge streams, foremost among them art and science. He stated that dialogue between artists and scientists is not an intellectual luxury, but a civilizational necessity—combining creative sensibility with rational insight to produce a balanced discourse that resonates with both heart and mind.

Following this, His Excellency Governor El-Shazly delivered a speech urging everyone to pay close attention to the seminar’s content, emphasizing that it is not a luxury but a responsibility and a trust aimed at correcting thought and reinforcing awareness. He expressed confidence that all attendees would benefit from every word shared.

The esteemed actor Tarek El-Desouky then addressed the audience, expressing his joy at being at Suez University among the “Students for Egypt” family. He extended his thanks to the Governor and President Heniegal for inviting him to this important seminar.

El-Desouky distinguished between a scholar and an intellectual, explaining that a scholar knows everything about one thing, while an intellectual knows something about everything—enriching the mind and thought. He urged everyone to embrace culture, not just education, and affirmed the seminar’s importance as a cultural platform.

He emphasized that one of the key components of awareness is understanding history—especially the history of defeat and victory. He reviewed the events of the 1967 defeat, Egypt’s losses, and the subsequent rebuilding efforts, both of the military and the human spirit, asserting that while Egypt may fall ill, it can never die.

El-Desouky warned of systematic efforts to alienate Egyptian youth from patriotism and diminish national and historical engagement. He called for vigilance against such attempts to undermine youth awareness.

He also addressed attempts by detractors to question the unity of the Egyptian people, citing verses from the Qur’an, the Sunnah, and the Bible, and called for the elevation of human dignity as a value worthy of honor.

He affirmed that Egypt deserves to be the focus of love and pride—not through slogans, but through its profound historical and spiritual significance. Egypt is mentioned in the Qur’an, the Bible, and the Torah—not by coincidence. It was once the granary of the world, and the destination of the Holy Family’s journey—clear signs of its greatness.

Afterward, students from the Faculty of Sports Sciences presented a traditional folkloric performance from Suez, which was met with great enthusiasm and appreciation.

Professor Dr. Ghada Amer then delivered a lecture titled “The Role of Technology in Modern Warfare.” She emphasized that knowledge is the most powerful weapon for any nation’s advancement and that fourth-generation warfare is rooted in technology.

She explained the concept of asymmetric (non-traditional) warfare, which relies on confusion and ambiguity to prevent youth from thinking and to strip them of identity. She warned against certain technological applications such as “Roblox,” which she said has been condemned by religious authorities.

Dr. Amer highlighted how religion and belief systems are being manipulated to distort thought, citing the actions of mercenaries and religious opportunists. She explained that the enemies of the nation are engaged in conflicts of culture, civilization, and faith—not merely geopolitical disputes. She warned of the dangers of technological practices such as suicide, urging everyone to remain alert: “Be aware—you are facing a cunning and malicious enemy.”
