As part of its efforts to promote the spirit of solidarity and social responsibility, Suez University today witnessed the launch of a large-scale blood donation campaign under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Ashraf Heniegal, President of the University, in cooperation with the Suez branch of the Blood Bank. The campaign will continue until next Wednesday, October 8.
The opening event was attended by the Vice Presidents of the University, Deans of the Faculties, and members of the teaching staff, along with wide participation from students who showed great enthusiasm to contribute to this noble humanitarian act.
Prof. Dr. Heniegal was keen to be among the first to donate blood, emphasizing that true leadership begins with action, not words. The Vice Presidents and faculty members also took part in the donation, reflecting the strong sense of unity between the university administration and its students.
Dr. Heniegal stated that this campaign embodies profound human values—foremost among them generosity, solidarity, and national belonging. Blood donation, he noted, is not merely a medical procedure but a message of life and proof that the university community is deeply connected to the wider society, extending a helping hand in times of need.
He added that the university will continue to organize such initiatives that enhance its societal role and instill in students the values of compassion and responsibility.
