Organizing a new awareness convoy in Al-Arbaen district

Under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Al-Sharkawi and in cooperation with the General Authority for Literacy and Adult Education which is headed by Dr. Ashour Al-Emary, Suez University organized a new awareness convoy for Kafr Salim Alhai area at Al-Arbaen district in Suez. It was participated by students from the faculties of Education and Commerce. The participants convinced the residents of the importance of performing the placement tests and procedures of getting literacy certificates. The participants also informed the residents with the services presented by Suez University and the General Authority for Literacy and Adult Education. 

The convoy resulted in placement tests of 135 persons, enrolling 45 persons in the activation classes as well as making a field survey by the students in order to raise the awareness of the importance of education and the necessity of having literacy certificates. 

Moreover, Prof. Dr. Al-Sharkawi stated that this convoy comes among long series of many convoys done by the university in various disciplines and places. So that the university achieves one of its important roles in presenting various services for the surrounding society whether medical, educational, awareness raising, research, or other services and efforts to develop the surrounding environment of the university through making use of the potentials and experience of the outstanding university members whether from the staff, associated staff, or students. 

Furthermore, M. Al-Sayda Al-Refaea, the director of the General Authority for Literacy and Adult Education branch in Suez, and Dr. Eman Aburadi, the general coordinator of the Literacy and Adult Education Unit in the university participated in the convoy.
