This afternoon, Suez University concluded the training program activities within the framework of the “I Am Also Responsible” Initiative, launched by the National Training Academy under the patronage of Dr. Slava Goueli, Executive Director of the Academy. The closing ceremony was marked by the presence of the university’s leadership, training experts, and a group of participating students.
The ceremony began with an opening speech delivered by Dr. Ahmed Abdel Ghany, representative of the National Training Academy and program coordinator, in which he expressed his deep gratitude and appreciation to Suez University for its warm reception, precise organization, and commitment to providing all necessary facilities for the program’s success. He emphasized that the university had been an exemplary model of effective institutional cooperation. Abdel Ghany also addressed the trainers on behalf of the Academy, saying: “With great pride, you are also responsible … and you are the hope for tomorrow.”
In his concluding remarks, Prof. Dr. Ashraf Heniegal, President of Suez University, expressed his great pleasure at the university’s participation in the initiative, stressing his pride in the students’ commitment and awareness throughout the training period. He praised the training experience, describing it as “a journey of self-discovery and a means of strengthening the values of active citizenship.” He highlighted that the students had proven their ability to lead, to take initiative, and to present innovative ideas reflecting their awareness of societal, environmental, and sustainable development issues.
The University President also pointed out that the initiative’s ten themes—from community responsibility to global responsibility—represent an open invitation to every student to be an active contributor in building their nation. He urged students to continue striving for both academic and professional excellence.
At the end of his speech, Prof. Heniegal affirmed the university’s commitment to its enlightening and developmental role, keeping its doors open to all initiatives aimed at building an aware, proactive Egyptian citizen. He also commended the role of the National Training Academy in launching this inspiring initiative.
The ceremony concluded with the distribution of participation certificates to students, in an atmosphere of pride and joy, followed by commemorative photographs that documented this remarkable moment in their university journey. The students expressed their gratitude for this opportunity, which provided them with a valuable space for learning and interaction, affirming their readiness to shoulder responsibility and contribute to serving their homeland.
It is worth noting that the “I Am Also Responsible” Initiative aims to strengthen social awareness among youth, instill values of active citizenship, and nurture a spirit of initiative and responsibility toward national and global issues. The initiative further seeks to prepare a generation capable of contributing to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals through integrated training programs that combine theoretical knowledge with practical application, while enabling participants to discover their potential and develop leadership and volunteer skills.
