This morning, Suez National University welcomed Major General Tarek Hamed El-Shazly, Governor of Suez, on an inspection visit to the university campus, as part of efforts to strengthen cooperation between the university and the governorate and to support the development of the educational system in the Suez region.
The Governor was received by Prof. Dr. Ashraf Heniegal, President of the University, along with a number of academic and administrative staff. Prof. Dr. Heniegal expressed his warm welcome, emphasizing that the visit reflects the executive leadership’s interest in educational institutions and their vital role in serving the local community.
The visit included an inspection tour of the campus, during which the Governor reviewed the progress of educational facilities and service infrastructure. He also followed up on the ongoing development works on the roads leading to the university, including paving and landscaping projects, stressing the importance of completing these projects in a manner befitting the university’s status and ensuring ease of access.
During his visit, the Governor expressed his great admiration for the National University, praising its academic programs and unique specializations that align with the needs of both local and international labor markets. He affirmed that these programs represent a pioneering step toward preparing a qualified generation equipped with the skills and knowledge necessary to keep pace with rapid developments in various fields, thereby enhancing employment opportunities and contributing to the support of the national economy.
For his part, the University President expressed his deep gratitude for the continuous support provided by the Suez Governorate to the university, praising the strong cooperation between both sides, which contributes to achieving the university’s goals of delivering high-quality education and strengthening its role in serving the community and developing its youth.
Prof. Dr. Heniegal further emphasized that the Governor’s visit represents significant moral support for the university and reaffirms the importance of integration between educational institutions and executive authorities in achieving sustainable development.
