In the presence of Prof. Dr. Mohamed Ayman Ashour, the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Prof. Dr. Al-Sayed Al-Sharkawi, the SU President, participated in the conclusion of the fourth annual forum of the University Centers for Professional Development. This forum held under the title "The Way Forward" from 7 to 9 May, in cooperation with the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and USAID in Egypt, implemented by the American University of Cairo.

According to the page of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, in his speech, the Minister stressed that this forum comes in implementation of the National Strategy for Higher Education and Scientific Research 2030 launched last March, which included, inter alia, linking education outputs to the actual needs of the labor market, enhancing graduate skills and capacities, supporting innovation and entrepreneurship; To support the career path for employment, thereby contributing to Egypt's vision of sustainable development goals.

Dr. Ayman Ashour stressed that the Ministry attaches great importance to the file of professional development and linking higher education to the needs of the labor market; Consistent with the efforts of the Egyptian State and its commitment to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals in accordance with the Egypt Vision 2030. Moreover, he noted that in the light of the outstanding success and positive impact of the University Centers for Professional Development project in building the capacity of Egyptian university students and graduates. As well, the Higher Education Program for Vocational Guidance for Employment was launched within the strategy of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.

Furthermore, the Minister appreciated the efforts made by all stakeholders who participated in the events of the Forum, noting the Ministry's interest in implementing the recommendations of the Forum; Its important role in developing the performance of the university centers for professional development in Egyptian universities, reflecting the performance of graduates and their ability to compete in the labor market, and maximizing their chances of obtaining suitable jobs.

For his part, “Al-Sharkawi” expressed his pleasure at the activities carried out by the University Centre for Professional Development of Suez University in order to serve the future of our students, and greatly increase their opportunities to compete in the locally and regionally contemporary labor market.

The forum was attended by the director of the Centre Dr. Ahmed Abul Hassan and the officials of the University Center for Professional Development at the University.
