Under the auspices of Dr. Mohammed Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Prof. Dr. Al-Sharqawi, SU President, inaugurated the Fifth Scientific Student Conference of the SU Faculty of Science. It was attended by Dr. Moawad El Khouli, President of the New Mansoura University, and Professor Vladimir Hidlowski, President of Matej Bel University, Slovakia.

In his speech, Prof. Dr. Al-Sharqawi pointed out that the conference comes within the framework of achieving the principles of the Sustainable Development Strategy Egypt Vision 2030, adopted by the Egyptian State under the leadership of Egyptian President Abdelfattah El-Sisi which includes goals related to knowledge, innovation, and scientific research as one of the most important pillars of development. This is done by investing in people, building their creative capacities, stimulating innovation, spreading their culture, supporting scientific research, and linking it to education and development.

In addition, Dr. Moawad El Khouli clarified that the Egyptian State seeks to launch programs through which higher levels of support can be achieved for scientific research, by providing all possibilities for individuals, organs, and institutions. This reflects the development of innovation in a functional manner. The State reaffirms its support and consolidation of its strength and continuous work to sustain it and address its challenges and constraints, paying tribute to the students of all Egyptian and foreign universities concerned with the topic of the conference.
