In his speech, the University President expressed his happiness at participating in this event, describing it as a significant and promising step in the journey of the Faculty of Media and Communication Technology. He emphasized that the launch of the faculty’s internal radio station marks the creation of a modern educational and training platform that reflects the spirit of innovation and renewal the university aspires to.
Heniegal stressed that this radio station is not merely a media tool, but rather a live, practical laboratory offering students the opportunity to gain hands-on training in scripting, presenting, and directing radio programs within an environment that simulates professional practice. It is an initiative that enhances their skills and contributes to shaping their media personalities.
He also noted that this radio station will become a vibrant voice within the university, broadcasting Suez University news, announcing academic, cultural, and artistic events, and strengthening communication within the university community.
The University President concluded his remarks by extending his appreciation to the faculty administration and everyone who contributed to the success of this promising project, wishing all continued success and progress.
In this context, Prof. Dr. Ashraf Galal, Dean of the Faculty, expressed his pride in the faculty’s steady strides toward leadership and excellence. He described the launch of the internal radio station as a transformative leap in the faculty’s practical training system, representing a modern platform that reflects students’ aspirations and opens new horizons for creativity and expression.
The Dean explained that the idea of the internal radio station came as a realization of the faculty’s vision to bridge academic study with professional reality by providing an interactive, applied environment that prepares a generation of media professionals with competence, experience, and confidence. He added that this platform is more than just a tool for delivering news—it is a free space for experimenting with ideas, fostering teamwork, and developing storytelling, radio dialogue, and media discussion skills in line with developments in the field.
The event also coincided with the launch of the graduation project discussions for the faculty’s students, which covered various fields such as journalism, directing, digital production, public relations, and new media. Prof. Galal affirmed that these projects reflect the students’ advancement in acquiring both academic and practical skills. He noted that the ideas they presented demonstrate their ability to compete in the media job market and their possession of a clear vision that qualifies them to be genuine agents of change in society.
In conclusion, Dr. Ashraf Galal extended his sincere thanks and appreciation to Prof. Dr. Heniegal, the University President, for his ongoing support. He also praised the efforts of faculty members, teaching assistants, administrative staff, and students.
