Under the patronage of Major General Tarek Hamed El-Shazly, Governor of Suez, and in the presence of Prof. Ashraf Heniegal, President of Suez University, the university hosted an educational seminar for school students in the governorate, titled "We Protect It with Our Awareness." The event was attended by Prof. Abdullah Ramadan, Deputy Governor; Dr. Walid Hajjaj, cybersecurity expert; prominent journalist Nashwa El-Houfi; members of the House of Representatives and the Senate; vice presidents of the university, deans of faculties, faculty members, administrative staff, and students.

In his speech, the university president welcomed the attendees, emphasizing that fostering enlightened awareness, correcting misconceptions, and ensuring a proper understanding of various issues are among the most crucial means by which nations can confront different challenges, regardless of their complexity.

He pointed out that fourth-generation warfare no longer relies on direct military confrontations but rather on psychological and ideological battles, involving the spread of rumors and misleading information. These tactics aim to weaken people's morale, erode trust between citizens and their state, and spread negativity and corruption, leading to self-destruction without any direct losses for the opposing side.

Heniegal stated that today's event serves as a step in countering such strategies by confronting ideas with ideas and shedding light on the facts. The goal is to ensure that Egypt’s youth, at all stages of their development, possess awareness and understanding of the challenges surrounding their beloved homeland.

The university president reaffirmed that Egypt's honorable stance calls upon all citizens to reaffirm their unwavering trust in the decisions and measures taken by the state under the leadership of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces. He emphasized that the Egyptian people have always stood united behind their wise leadership, holding firm to their national principles and believing resolutely that Egypt continues to move forward on the path of righteousness and wisdom.

He further added that Egypt is a great nation with a proud history deeply rooted in time and a bright future full of growth, prosperity, and advancement, thanks to the dedicated efforts of its loyal citizens. The history of this great nation affirms that Egypt’s national principles and positions on various issues are as steadfast as mountains, unshaken by any challenges. The current developments concerning the rights of our Palestinian brothers over their land are a living example of Egypt’s unwavering belief in the right of all peoples to hold on to their principles and sacred lands.

The university president also extended his appreciation and gratitude to the Egyptian Armed Forces, describing them as a symbol of heroism and sacrifice, continuously strengthening the nation's trust and raising its flag high in the sky with pride.

Addressing the students, he highlighted that God has granted them a great blessing—a homeland that others around the world envy. With pride and confidence, he declared that Egypt is not just any country; it is a strong and dignified nation that will always remain so through the faith and determination of its people. He urged them to be the driving force behind Egypt’s progress, striving to fulfill their parents’ hopes for them and becoming exemplary models of academic excellence and moral integrity.

Following this, the Ministry of Education’s theater group presented a play titled "The Land 2025." This was followed by a lecture by journalist Nashwa El-Houfi on "Promoting Values of Loyalty, Belonging, and Identity in Our Children." A musical segment featuring artist Mohamed Halim was then performed, after which cybersecurity expert Dr. Walid Hajjaj delivered a lecture titled "Countering Misinformation in the Digital Age."

In his speech, Major General Tarek El-Shazly, Governor of Suez, extended his greetings to the university and its president for hosting this educational seminar. He also expressed his gratitude to the Deputy Governor and his team for their efforts in organizing the event in such an honorable manner. The Governor emphasized that the young students in attendance represent the future of the country, stressing the importance of preparing them to become leaders over the next two decades. He highlighted that safeguarding the nation is a duty shared by all generations and age groups.

El-Shazly also urged the students to exert maximum effort in their academic and scientific pursuits and to seek positive role models, emphasizing that Egypt is worthy of every sacrifice. He noted that overcoming crises is achievable, as history has repeatedly proven the resilience of the Egyptian people.
