On 8 February 2025, Prof. Dr. Sherif Yousef Khater, the President of Mansoura University, welcomed Prof. Dr. Ashraf Hnijal, the President of Suez University, during his visit to discuss the master's thesis at the Faculty of Engineering. It was attended by Prof. Dr. Mohamed Attia Al-Bayoumi, the vice president for education and students’ affairs, and Prof. Dr. Sherif El-Badawi, the acting dean of the faculty.

During the meeting, Dr. Sharif Khater welcomed Dr. Ashraf Hnijal to the University. Moreover, he thanked him for his outstanding efforts in developing Suez University, expressing his deep appreciation for his dignified visit to the University and his participation in discussing the master’s thesis at the Faculty of Engineering.

For his part, Dr. Ashraf Hnijal expressed his pleasure at this meeting and the warm welcome, expressing his deep appreciation for this meeting at Al Mansoura University. Furthermore, he noted that it is one of the leading and distinguished universities and commended its distinguished cadres and professors in various disciplines. He welcomed Suez University strengthening the existing cooperation with Mansoura University, opening new prospects in various disciplines, and thanked and appreciated Dr. Sharif Khater for his outstanding efforts and his constant keenness to promote cooperation between the two universities, wishing him continued success and progress.

This morning, Dr. Ashraf Hnijal discussed this morning's master's thesis by the researcher Eng/ Amr Aladdin Shehteh, in civil engineering, under the title: "High performance eco-friendly concrete properties made from recycled ceramic residues", where the discussion and judgement committee participated: Prof. Dr. Ahmed Mohamed Al-Sayed Tahweh,  the professor emeritus, Department of Construction Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Mansoura University, and Prof. Osama Al-Saeed Abdel-Moneim, the Assistant Professor, Department of Civil Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Mansoura University.
