Prof. Ashraf Heniegal, President of Suez University, has announced the renewal of the IT Training Unit's accreditation certificate for training and electronic testing in IT and its applications. This accreditation is granted by the Central Unit for IT Training at the Electronic and Knowledge Services Center of the Supreme Council of Universities, marking the second renewal since the unit's establishment.
He emphasized the importance of implementing Egypt's digital transformation strategy, endorsed by the country's political leadership. He also highlighted the significance of the Digital Transformation Fundamentals Certificate as a national credential aimed at eradicating digital illiteracy and elevating the skills of university members and various community sectors.
Prof. Heniegal noted that the Supreme Council of Universities has set specific criteria for accrediting IT training centers at Egyptian universities. The IT Training Unit team at Suez University successfully fulfilled all the accreditation requirements.
On this occasion, the university president commended the IT Training Unit team for their efforts in achieving this high level of excellence. He affirmed that this renewal reflects the ongoing efficiency and performance of the digital transformation and IT sector, aligning with Egypt's Vision 2030 for sustainable development.
The renewal process included a visit by a delegation from the Supreme Council of Universities, headed by Dr. Mohamed Hassan Gadallah, Director of the Central IT Training Unit, and comprising Dr. Mahmoud Mostafa El-Habbak, Deputy Director of the Central Unit, Dr. Ahmed Khalil Abdel Hamid, and Mr. Mohamed Mahmoud Abdel Fattah from the Electronic and Knowledge Services Center. The delegation was received by Prof. Ihab El-Sayed Shahata, Director of the Capacity Building Unit; Dr. Naveen Ali Mohamed, Director of the IT Training Unit; and Dr. Ahmed El-Nagdi, Deputy Director of the IT Training Unit.
