Prof. Dr. Ashraf Hnijal, the SU President, announced that winning the project to develop the Scientific Excellence Center for Materials Research and Metallurgy in Suez and Sinai of the Faculty of Petroleum and Mining Engineering, and the project of the Energy Efficiency and Sustainability Technology Laboratory of the Faculty of Technology and Education, for international accreditation.

Hence, the SU President stated that the development of laboratories at the University is a priority in the development process. The Center for Consultation and Testing of Solar Cell Systems of the Faculty of Technology and Education has already been accredited and the accreditation of the Faculty of Fish Resources is under way. This reflects the University's interest in accrediting its laboratories and laboratories internationally; To reach the highest quality standards, its results conform to international standards following ISO/IEC. 17025 /2017. In that context, the University sought to accredit its laboratories by applying for competitive projects funded by the Administration of Higher Education Development projects to qualify laboratories for international accreditation.

On this occasion, “Hnijal” congratulated Prof. Dr. Essam Ahmed Ali, the Dean of the Faculty of Petroleum and Mining Engineering, and Prof. Dr. Hossam El-Din Mustafa, The Dean of the Faculty of Technology and Education, as well as the faculties administration. The SU President appreciated the effort made to prepare the file for funding, he emphasized that every effort should be made to achieve the best results in this context. He also appreciated the efforts of the University's Projects Unit and its sponsors in providing technical support to the various projects of the University.
