This morning, Prof. Dr. Ashraf Hnijal, the SU President, attended the events of the celebration organized by the Faculty of Politics and Economics of the University. It was attended by Prof. Dr. Ezzedine Husseini, the Acting Vice-President for Education and Student Affairs. The SU President was met by Prof. Dr. Nepal Ezzeldine Jameel, the faculty dean, undersecretaries, teaching staff members, and old and new students.

In his statement, Prof. Dr. Ashraf Hnijal, the SU President, welcomed and supervised the students of the faculty. In addition, he stressed the importance of the Faculty of Politics and Economics and the importance of studying in it, as one of the only 4 government faculties in Egypt.

His Excellency noted the importance of capacity development and not just lectures within the University, and urged students to participate in student activities whether simulation models carried out by the faculty such as the European Union simulation model, the League of Arab States, the American Congress, or the simulation model of the Egyptian House of Representatives, as they were of great importance in building students' capacities and developing political, economic, and social awareness.

Moreover, the SU President emphasized the need to give students opportunities for further practical applications and scientific research in the fields of economics and political science, as well as to intensify field visits to new national projects to learn about recent achievements in Egypt.

In addition, Hnijal directed the necessity of holding a student conference at the Faculty of Politics and Economics to present their research and affirmed his sovereignty over the students of the faculty by presenting an encouraging award for outstanding research at this conference.

His Excellency asked to verify the published news aimed at distorting ideas and stressed his confidence that in the coming years the students of the faculty will assume responsibility in many locations inside and outside the country, with their skills and experience in their field of specialization.

His Excellency participated with the Dean of the Faculty, the SU Vice-President, the Undersecretaries, and the heads of departments in honoring the first students of the faculty in an atmosphere of happiness and joy among the attendees of teaching staff members, associated staff of the university, members of the faculty's administrative body, and students.
