Dr. Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research on Saturday afternoon, accompanied by Major General Tariq Hamid Al-Shazli, Governor of Suez, visited students of Al-Jlala University who were affected by the accident and were still receiving medical care at the Suez Medical Complex.

During the visit, Dr. Ayman Ashour and his delegation reassured the injured students who were still receiving treatment at the Suez Medical Complex.

The Minister held a parental talk with his students and reassured them that all necessary medical and therapeutic care would continue to be provided for them to be fully cured.

The Minister also reassured the parents of the injured students to continue to provide all aspects of psychological care to the injured students after their discharge from the hospital as well as to their university colleagues to overcome the consequences of this painful incident.

Dr. Ayman Ashour sincerely thanked Dr. Khaled Abdul Ghaffar, Deputy Prime Minister for Human Development, Minister of Health and Population as well as Dr. Ahmed Al-Sobki, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the General Authority for Health Care and the Suez Medical Complex community for providing all necessary medical care to students of Al-Jlala accident, stressing the continued full coordination with the Ministry of Health and Population to monitor the situation of injured students and meet all their medical and therapeutic needs.

It is worth mentioning that 28 injured students have left the Suez Medical Complex after their improved health condition, and 7 students are still receiving medical and therapeutic care at the complex.

The visit was attended by Dr. Abdullah Ramadan, Deputy Governor of Suez, Dr. Maher Misbah, Secretary of the Council of Private Universities, Dr. Ashraf Hnijal, SU President, Dr. Omar Sharif Omar, Secretary of the Higher Council for University Hospitals, Dr. Ahmed Anani, Adviser to the Minister for Health Policy, and Dr. Adel Abdul-Ghaffar, Media Adviser and Spokesperson of the Ministry as well as Dr. Amir Al-Talwani, Executive Director of the General Health Care Authority on behalf of Dr. Ahmed Al-Sobki, President of the General Authority for Health Care, and Dr. Ismail Al-Hafnawi, Director-General of the Suez General Health Care Authority Branch, Major General Dr. Mohamed Abulnga, Director of the Suez Medical Complex, besides several leaders of the governorate, the Health Care Authority, and the Complex.
