Symposium entitled "Renewable Energy and Green Hydrogen" in the SU Faculty of Science

Under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Al-Sayed Al-Sharkawi, the SU president, Prof. Dr. Ali Hussain Atta, the SU vice-president for education and student affairs, and Prof. Dr. Sherif Mohamed Fahmy, the dean of the Faculty of Science, the SU Student Community for Egypt organized a seminar entitled "Renewable Energy and Green Hydrogen". This seminar was attended by Dr. Ahmed Mohamed El-Desouky, the leader of the SU Student Community for Egypt, and a member of community students from various faculties.

As well, the seminar began with a speech by Prof. Dr. Sherif Fahmi, the dean of the Faculty of Science. He also welcomed the attendees and stressed the importance of the role of such student activities in the development of awareness among the youth. Moreover, he clarified all information related to various subjects and wished everyone the utmost benefit from this symposium.

Then, Dr. Abdelhamid Rasmi, the undersecretary of the Faculty of Science for education and student affairs, spoke on energy sources of various kinds and touched on the Egyptian State Vision 2030 led by His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi in order to expand the use of renewable and clean energy sources in order to reduce the import bill and maintain the cash reserve of the dollar and reduce the adverse effects of the environment and climate. He also talked about green hydrogen as a source of energy and noted different types and labels of hydrogen. The seminar was attended by a group of university professors and students and the Faculty of Science.

On his part, Dr. Ahmed El-Desouky gifted the shield of the community of students for Egypt to Dr. Abdelhamid Rasmi and gave a thankful speech to His Excellency and the attendees.
