SU President certifies the launch of the Huawei Professional Program HCIP Club

Prof. Dr. Ashraf Hnijal, the SU President, witnessed the Huawei Professional Program HCIP Club Launch Ceremony events this morning. It was attended by Mr. Maben, the head of business development at Huawei, Prof. Dr. Reda El-khareby, the dean of the Faculty of Computer and Artificial Intelligence at Cairo University, Prof. Dr. Yasser Amon, the dean of the Faculty of Computer and Information at Suez University, and Dr. Asmaa Sirajuddin, the President of Huawei Academy Egypt.

The ceremony began with a speech by Huawei's Head of Business Development, in which he welcomed the attendance. He also praised the partnership with Suez University over the past five years, which resulted in the graduation of more than 50 Suez University affiliated staff with a professional degree, and more than 100 students who were able to pass the primary level of training.

In his speech, the SU President expressed his pleasure to be present at this ceremony where Huawei Professional Club is inaugurating a group of our talented students who have managed to achieve this high level in Huawei Academy competitions, which represents a new step in the journey of excellence and innovation that Suez University seeks to strengthen among its students.

In addition, Hnijal praised the efforts of the Huawei Academy in organizing competitions and events that give our students an international platform for healthy competition and exchange of ideas, enabling them to enhance their knowledge and practical skills in the field of information technology.

Therefore, the SU President said that the fruitful cooperation with the Huawei Academy as a strategic partner underscores our commitment to providing the best training and qualification opportunities for our students, preparing them to keep up with the requirements of the labor market, and enabling them to compete in it at the local and international levels.

Furthermore, the SU President stressed that participation in such activities comes in the light of the mandates of His Excellency President Abdelfattah El-Sisi, who has always emphasized the State's continued support for the telecommunications and information technology sector, as one of the building blocks for development.

This sector has experienced a major development boom over the past few years. It also has proven to be the most resilient to various challenges, leading to these indicators increasing Egypt's attractiveness to investors, empowering local companies, encouraging the creation of new businesses, supporting the expansion of high-value technologies, and creating more jobs for the nation's citizens.

His Excellency also referred to the National Strategy for Higher Education and Scientific Research launched by His Excellency Prof. Dr. Mohamed Ayman Ashour, the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, which seeks to achieve the 7 core themes: (integration, interdisciplinary interrelationship, communication, effective participation, sustainability, international reference, entrepreneurship, and innovation), there must be a strong and coherent ground in the telecommunications and technology sector to bring about the desired integration that reaches real and serious opportunities for our children to compete in the labor market.

Moreover, the SU President stressed with the Managing Director of Huawei to strengthen cooperation between the University and Huawei by supporting the Faculty of Computer and Information to develop laboratories and invest in young talents from the University's students; Through the Cooperation Protocol and a recent visit to the University to see the status quo and the future vision to support the faculties of computer as well as a future vision to support technology for the faculties of engineering, petroleum engineering, technology, education and science.

After that, Mr. Maben gifted the Huawei Academy shield to the SU President. He then honored the winners of students and trainers from the SU-affiliated staff during the previous period. He also honored Prof. Dr. Yasser Amon, the dean of the Faculty of Computer and Information at Suez University, Prof. Dr. Reda the Dean of the Faculty of Computing and Artificial Intelligence of the University of Cairo, Prof. Dr. Reda El-khareby, the dean of the Faculty of Computer and Artificial Intelligence at Cairo University. Hence, Mr. Ahmed Osman, the assistant teacher, of the Faculty of Computer and Information, and Mr. Islam Abdul Fattah the dean of the faculty, were honored as professional trainers of "HCIP" at Huawei Academy at Suez University.

Then, the SU President made sure to hear some sessions, including a lecture on 5G networks, a lecture on cloud computing, Huawei cloud developers, and a lecture on the infrastructure and future generations of Huawei data centers.
