This afternoon, the Council for Community Service and Environment Development meeting was held under the chairmanship of Prof. Dr. Ashraf Hnijal, the SU President, in the presence of the faculties' undersecretaries for community service and environment development affairs. The meeting tackled several topics related to the sector of community service and environment development, including the subjects received from the Supreme Council of Universities. The SU President stressed the need to pay attention to the obstacles facing the Etaqa Industrial Zone in the governorate. He also pointed out the need for a clear plan for faculties to develop resources and special units and market them well.

The Council approved a cooperation protocol between the Faculty of Medicine and the General Authority of Hospitals and Educational Institutes. It aims to provide opportunities for continuous medical education and joint scientific supervision of scientific theses of young doctors and researchers.

The Council also approved the annual plan represented by the Adult Education Unit for literacy awareness-raising convoys, which include seminars on illegal migration and human trafficking.
