This morning, Prof. Dr. Ashraf Hnijal, SU President, received Major-General Staff of War, Tariq al-Shazli, Governor of Suez, on his first visit to the University. He was accompanied by Prof. Dr. Abdullah Ramadan, Deputy Governor, and several Executive Leadership in the governorate.

Then, the Governor witnessed the meeting of the University Council which was held in the presence of the SU Vice-Presidents, the faculty deans, and the members of the Council. He expressed his pleasure at being inside the citadel of knowledge in the governorate, stressing his appreciation of the University's role of service in various sectors especially the services provided to the community and the surrounding environment depending on the University's human potential represented by the university teaching staff and researchers as well as the material resources, such as specialized university centers in various fields.

In his speech, Al-Shazali stressed that the Suez Governorate, with its potential in various sectors of industry, production, and tourism, as well as its unique location, places a great responsibility on everyone to exert the utmost effort to achieve development and progress for the governorate and its children under the vision of the Egyptian State, which is keen to provide all services to the Egyptian citizen.

Moreover, he commended the projects submitted by various faculties and stressed the need to realize the idea of sustainable development to safeguard future generations' right to a decent life. He promised to allocate outlets for the sale of the Faculty of Fish Resources products both in Suez and in the global Suez market to be established in the city. He also commended the welding, energy, and other programs of the University's various faculties.

For his part, the SU President expressed his pleasure and all the employees of the University by visiting Mr. Governor, stressing that he looked forward to further cooperation between the University and the governorate. Then the SU President presented a short recording film reviewing the faculties of the University.

After that, Hnijal explained that the University's mission as a leading scientific educational institution within the constellation of Egyptian public and private universities aims to provide an educational environment with the ability to teach, learn, keep abreast of technological developments and the challenges of society for the graduate and scientific research for the development of Egyptian society.

Meanwhile, the SU President touched upon the University's cooperation with various institutions and bodies to meet the needs and satisfaction of Egyptian human beings and participate in the building of a high civilization for our dear Egypt under the leadership of His Excellency President Abdelfattah El-Sisi of the Republic.
