Prof. Dr. Ashraf Hnijal, the SU President, met this morning with the University's staff participating in the Paris Olympics 2024.

The session was participated by Prof. Dr. Wael Qandil, the Dean of the Faculty of Physical Education, and the international volleyball Olympic referee, chosen by the International Federation, and the only chosen from the African continent to arbitrate the Olympic volleyball matches.

In addition, the delegation included Egyptian Spear player Ihab Abdulrahman, an Assistant Teacher of the Athletics Department of the Faculty of Physical Education, the World Spear Champion, and one of the strongest candidates for the Olympic medal.

Furthermore, the delegation included Dr. Ahmed Metwally, a teacher in the athletics department and coach of the Egyptian athletics team, who participates in the athletics coaching staff.

Therefore, the SU President expressed his pleasure with this constellation of the staff of the University representing Egypt at this event, which is the largest and most important where thousands of players from different countries compete in various games.

Hnijal thanked the participants of the University. He also stressed the support of all Egyptians of the Egyptian sports representatives at this international level. He affirmed the need to make the utmost effort to raise the Egyptian flag high in this great forum and wished success and progress for all Egyptian delegations.
