Under the auspices and directive of Prof. Dr. Ashraf Hnijal, the SU President, and the supervision of Prof. Dr. Ezzedine Husseini, the Acting Vice-President of the University for Education and Students, a delegation from the university's sports teams participated in the 4^th Sports Forum events of the Universities of the Canal and Sinai Region. Suez Canal University organized it in Ismailia, where students compete in many sports activities "Football - Basketball - Table Tennis - Speedball".

Moreover, the SU President stated that his keenness to involve university students in such events stems from the political leadership's view that the exercise of sport is an issue of national security. The interest of the Egyptian State is also in building the personality of students at the university level by encouraging such activities, which have a strong impact on the development of their capacities, in preparation for their participation in the construction and development of the nation.

Furthermore, Hnijal explained that the interest of the academic community in organizing such events comes from the belief in the role of universities as educational institutions whose role is not only to provide talk from the academic science of their students but it must be based to discover and refine personal talents, to present a generation of the youth with the potential to meet the challenges of the future.
