This morning, in his office, the SU President, Prof. Dr. Ashraf Hnijal, received Dr. Ali Majid, a lecturer at the Department of Geology of the SU Faculty of Science, to follow up on the latest developments in international cooperation with the network of Afro-Austrian universities and Austrian universities, which is the first fruit of the visit by the SU President and Prof. Dr. Sherif Fahmy, SU Vice President last May.

During the meeting, Hnijal stressed the importance of focusing on increasing international cooperation with foreign universities with high impact factor, noting that this cooperation comes within the framework of the vision of the Egyptian State aimed at improving the level of higher education and enhancing the capabilities of Egyptian universities in the international arena.

For his part, Majid explained that -with the participation of Prof. Dr. Sherif Fahmy, and Dr. Sherif Abu Al-Majd- they had taken place in a new project on climate change in collaboration with Johannes Kepler University Linz, Austria, and the University of Pretoria, South Africa.

The project aims to study and develop innovative strategies to address environmental challenges resulting from climate change.

After the meeting, Majid expressed his pleasure at this meeting, which reflects the President's interest in the field of scientific research and not only encourages local research but also encourages the idea of participating with various international universities in research with a high impact factor.
