Hnijal visits the Faculty of Fish Resources and chairs the Faculty Council

This morning, the SU President, Prof. Dr. Ashraf Hnijal, visited the Faculty of Fish Resources. He was accompanied by Prof. Dr. Sherif Fahmy, Acting SU Vice-President for Postgraduate and Research Affairs, and Prof. Dr. Ezzedine Husseini, Acting SU Vice-President for Education and Student Affairs. The SU President was received by Prof. Dr. Osama Kaddour, Dean of the Faculty, the faculty undersecretaries, and Teaching Staff Members.

During the visit, the SU President inspected the faculty's laboratories. He listened to an explanation of the potential of the laboratories and the services they could provide for scientific research. While passing through the laboratories, he stressed the importance of encouraging and motivating teaching staff and researchers to invest in available devices according to the latest quality standards in scientific research and testing of beneficiaries in the field of fisheries as a community service and development of the university's resources.

During his chairmanship of the Faculty Council meeting at the professors' level, the SU President pointed to the importance of the Faculty of Fish Resources as one of the unique and non-stereotypical faculties, stressing that the fields of the faculty attract the attention of various stakeholders at the local and international levels, he also stressed the need to develop academic programs in the faculty to keep abreast of all developments in the labor market.

He also directed expediting all necessary procedures to complete the laboratories' accreditation from the Egyptian Accreditation Council "EGAC" because of the positives provided by this accreditation to these laboratories.

The SU President also stressed the need to discuss mechanisms for increasing the University's resources by investing in the skills and potential of the Faculty of Fish Resources, its role in the service of society, and its supporting role in the achievement of sustainable development 2030.
