Next March ... Launching the First Student Conference of the Faculty of Petroleum and Mining Engineering

Under the auspices of Prof. Dr. El-Sayed El-Sharkawy, SU President, and the supervision of Prof. Dr. Ali Hussein Atta, SU Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, Prof. Dr. Abdel Ati Lasheen, SU Vice President for Post-Graduate Studies and Research, Prof. Dr. Essam Ahmed Ali, Dean of the Faculty of Petroleum and Mining Engineering and President of the Conference, and the Conference Coordinator Dr. Rehab Al-Maghrabi, The SU Faculty of Petroleum and Mining Engineering announces its first student conference, which will be held on Tuesday, March 14, at the campus of Suez University.

The SU Faculty of Petroleum and Mining Engineering invites all undergraduate and graduate students at the level of Egyptian universities and higher education institutions to participate in the activities of this conference, which is concerned with discussing several topics related to the field of oil, gas, and mining in Egypt through a number of lectures and panel discussions that will be presented by experts in the field. This conference is an opportunity for undergraduate and graduate students to exchange experiences and share their interests through this day.

The conference adopts student innovations in the fields of petroleum, mining, climate, and environment. a poster competition will be organized, through which undergraduate and graduate students will compete in presenting their ideas and research on the latest topics in the field of petroleum, drilling, refining, petrochemicals, metals, materials, mining, mines, and geology. With special attention and support for the topics of raising energy efficiency and machine learning and data analysis.

It is worth mentioning that the SU Faculty of Petroleum and Mining Engineering is the first specialized faculty in the field of petroleum and mining in the Middle East since it was established in 1961. It was supported by UNESCO from 1966 to 1975. The Faculty of Petroleum and Mining Engineering includes five departments specialized in their field: the Department of Petroleum Engineering, the Department of Refining and Petrochemical Engineering, the Department of Metallurgical and Materials Engineering, the Department of Mining Engineering, and the Department of Geological and Geophysical Engineering.

In addition to a special program "Petroleum Exploration and Production Engineering Program" and two other programs under accreditation have been prepared in accordance with Egypt's Vision 2030: "Energy and Environmental Engineering" and "Petroleum and Gas Engineering". The faculty has graduated a large number of graduates who have become prominent leaders and experts in the field of petroleum, energy, and mining in Egypt and abroad.
