SU president and the Governor of South Sinai inspect the construction works of the branch of Suez University at Abu Radis ◇ Cooperation Protocol between South Sinai Governorate and the SU Faculty of Engineering

This morning, Major general/ Khaled Fouda, the Governor of South Sinai, and Prof. Dr. Al-Sayed Al-Sharkawi, the SU president, accompanied by Prof. Dr. Ashraf Henigal, the dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Major general/ Khaled Sadiq, the Executive Chairman of the Urban Development Fund, and Major general/ Mahmoud Nasar, the head of the Central Agency Reconstruction, inspected of the branch of Suez University at Abu Radis city and Al-Salam district that next to the University headquarters in preparation for the development of the SU branch. As well, it was attended by Dr. Enas Samir, the Deputy Governor, Major General/ Abdulrahman Mohammed Baha Eddin, the head of Radis City, and a number of the executive leadership of the governorate.

Moreover, the Governor of South Sinai stated that the establishment of the university branch in Abu-Radis is a qualitative shift in the South Sinai governorate through the development and construction of projects to serve the citizens of the city and students of the university.

Furthermore, the governor confirmed that the first phase of the university, which includes the faculties of science, arts, education, and commerce, is in progress. The Faculty of Science is scheduled to begin in the next academic year, and then the other stages come to complete the rest of the University's target faculties of up to 17 faculties.

On his part, Prof. Dr. Al-Sayed Al-Sharkawi, the SU president, stated that the location of the university's headquarters is a unique site within the governorate of South Sinai, aimed at serving the students of the governorate from all the governorates of Egypt. They were set up as part of the ongoing development projects on Sinai's land, with the aim of eliminating the extraneous cultures of Sinawi society.

He pointed out that the university is set up on an area of 100 acres, to include 17 different faculties, including a medical, an academic, and a scientific sector, with the aim of creating human development on Sinai land. Thus, everyone must come together to establish this scientific edifice that aims to serve and settle the Sinai residents.

On the sidelines of this visit, Major general/ Khaled Fouda, the Governor of South Sinai, and Prof. Dr. Al-Sayed Al-Sharkawi, the SU president, signed a cooperation protocol between the governorate and the SU Faculty of Engineering to let the Faculty of Engineering supervise the establishment and operation of the quality control laboratory of the governorate's housing directorate.

This protocol includes the provision by Suez University of technical support for the establishment of a quality control laboratory in the Housing Directorate of South Sinai Governorate by identifying the required spaces and equipping the places of the laboratory departments (soil tests, concrete tests, and chemistry lab).
