In the presence of General Staff of War/ Abdel El-Madjid Saqr, the Suez governorate, this morning Prof. Dr. Al-Sayed Al-Sharkawi, the SU president, participated in a visit to the Church of St. George in Suez to provide congratulations on the occasion of Christmas. As well, it was attended by the General Staff of War/ Sherif Jawda Al-Arashi, the leader of the Third Field Army. The SU president was accompanied by a delegation from Prof. Dr. Ali Hussein Atta, the Vice-president of the University for Education and Students Affairs, Deans of faculties, and staff members. Moreover, they were welcomed by Anba Bmwa, the Bishop of Suez, and the priests of the church.

Furthermore, Dr. Abdullah Ramadan, the Deputy Governor, members of the House of Representatives and Senate, and a number of popular and executive leaders in the governorate have participated in the congratulations.

During the visit, Sharqawi stated that Christmas is a feast for all Egyptians celebrated in our beloved nation of Egypt. The SU President also explained that these events reflect the feelings of friendship and love that prevail among all parts of the Egyptian people. These celebrations reflect the meaning of citizenship and the unity of the nation, wishing Egypt and its people and its leadership lasting success and stability.
