Students of the English Language Division at the SU Faculty of Commerce in a visit to the Arab Academy for Science, Technology, and Maritime Transport (AASTMT)

Under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Al-Sharqawi, SU President, Prof. Dr. Ismail Abdul Ghaffar, President of the Arab Academy for Science, Technology, and Maritime Transport, and under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Rania Abdelmonem Shamaa, Professor at the Faculty of Commerce, the English Language Division specializing in business administration at the Faculty of Commerce organized a visit to Maritime Education & Training Centre in Abo Qir at the Arab Academy for Science, Technology, and Maritime Transport in Alexandria, as part of Decision Support System and Artificial Intelligence course studied by the fourth year students specialized in Business Administration.

The SU Faculty of Commerce's delegation was received by Naval Captain Dr. Ayman Hamad Attia, Deputy Dean of the Integrated Simulation Complex and Decision-Making Support, and Naval Captain Dr. Ashraf Al-Sayed, lecturer at Ship Command Simulator Center, and Dr. Ola Omar Arafat Assistant Director of the Academy's Simulator Complex.

The aim of the visit was to train students practically in one of the most important centers specialized in simulation training in decision-making in various circumstances, whether normal or crisis.

Students were trained to:

- How to use decision support systems in administrative decision-making.

- Training in decision-making by Simulating practical reality and knowing the impact of this decision when applying.

- Reduce the costs of making wrong decisions in practical reality, as a result of exercising making accurate and critical decisions.

- Provision of information necessary for decision-making in times of crisis.

The visit began with the presentation of a documentary about the Academy at the Center of the Celestial Tomb

Then, there was practical training at the Center of Simulators

Later on, there was an experimental model for crisis management through decision support systems.

The students expressed their pleasure at the quantity of practical information and experiences gained during this visit, which qualifies them to meet the requirements of the labor market, which Suez University is keen to provide to its students in various disciplines by providing the latest educational programs supported by practical training in various sectors.
