The team of the Faculty of Arts at the Chinese Language Department was able to able win third place in the Chinese-language theatre sketch competition. This competition was organized annually by Cairo University, Confucius Institute, and the Chinese Cultural Center in Cairo. All 22 Chinese-language departments of public and private universities participated in this competition. The student Mahmoud Al-Sayed also got the award for the best performance in this course.

On this occasion, Prof. Dr. Al-Sayed Al-Sharkawi, the SU president, sent a congratulatory telegram to the members of the Chinese Language Department and the members of the staff of the Department wishing everyone continuous progress and upgrade to raise the name of Suez University high in various forums.
