Students of the Faculty of Fish Resources visit the Simulation and Training Center of the Suez Canal Authority

Under the auspices of Lieutenant General Osama Rabea, Chairman of the Suez Canal Authority and Prof. Dr. Al-Sharqawi, SU President, and under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Osama Kaddour , the Dean of the Faculty of Fish Resources, and Dr. Mohamed Saber Al-Sabbagh, the faculty Undersecretary for Education and Student Affairs, the Faculty of Fish Resources organized a cruise for students of the Department of Navigation and Maritime Fishing to the Simulation and Training Center of the Suez Canal Authority.

Students listened to a speech from Major General, Khaled Al-Azazi, through which he spoke about the Suez Canal Authority since its establishment, management, major national projects, and major achievements through five presentations showing the interest of the political leadership of it. Navigation in Suez Canal is the safest method, and it saves much time compared to other navigational channels in the world.

Students were also trained in maritime work and listened to an extensive explanation from Captain, Ashraf Al-Misseri, Senior Trainer of the Training and Simulation Center. The training as well included a cruise on a Suez Canal Authority locomotive "Aide 3" and an hour-long voyage through which they saw some historical monuments and parts of the Parliffe Line that was devastated by the Egyptians` will and our valiant Egyptian armed forces. Moreover, Students witnessed the work of facilitation, mentorship, and transit of giant container carriers.

Furthermore, the visit came within the framework of SU interest in educational effectiveness in the light of a great field visit, real training, and a great activation of cooperation between the University and the Suez Canal Authority and what it represents as a tributary of the Egyptian economy and national security.
