Under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Khaled Abdulghaffar, the minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Aswan University organized the Folk Crafts Festival from 4 to 8 February in progress under the motto (The Goodness of My Country), in which many of the Egyptian universities will participate.

Under the guidance of Prof. Dr. Al-Sayed Al-Sharkawi, and under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Ali Hussain Atta, SU vice-president for education and student affairs, Suez University participated in the festival events with a number of works, which were presented by the Art Education department at the Faculty of Education. Moreover, these works were able to win 2^nd place amid strong competition from various universities that participated in this festival.

Furthermore, Prof. Dr. Al-Sayed Al-Sharkawi sent a telegram on the page of SU Information Center to students who represented the University at the festival's events. He congratulated them on this major achievement, which had raised the University's name among Egypt's various universities, wishing them continued success, advancement, and progress.
